Numanthia Toro D.O. Red wine

Numanthia is the flagship of the winery and known as the reference of the Toro appellation. A masterful blend of grapes from over 100 of the best terroir plots, offering unique balance, elegance and power. The Numanthia style is based on an unusual selection of vines between 50 and 100 years old, rooted and irrigated. Year after year, the low yield produced extremely concentrated grapes with very intense fruit and structure.

Winemaking

The grapes aredestemmed to 100%. Then there is a cold maceration for 4 days before fermentation. After alcoholic fermentation for 7 days with daily pumping over, the wine is aged for 18 months in 225-liter and 400-liter French oak barrels and decanted every 4 months.

Drinking temperature: 15-16°C Our recommendation: Goes wellwith game dishes, roasted meats, grilled octopus Color: Ripe cherry red color with ruby highlights Nose: Numanthia is expressive and deep, with hints of red berries, smoky notes, garrigue aromas and a background of sweet spices. Palate: Soft on the palate, quickly filling the palate. Velvety, ripe tannins combine beautifully with a rich, rich texture. Flavors of black fruits like blueberries and black currants, violets and black pepper, cloves and tobacco leaves add complexity and finish with good acidity.
