The Kamptal in Lower Austria is the area from which this beautiful wine from the Maglock-Nagel Winery originates. The early red Veltliner is next to the Riesling one of the two leading varieties that are grown here.
Finely spicy, the popular grape variety plays out its entire portfolio between fruit and acidity in light greenish yellow in combination with a light almond tone. This beautiful wine is light-footed and animating and is therefore particularly suitable for starters, light cuisine and delicate fish dishes.
Our Zweigelt from Horitschon from the Kerschbaum Winery
Our Zweigelt from the Kerschbaum Winery in the red wine village of Horitschon has a very special characteristic, because the small village of Horitschon in Central Burgenland is known for its wines produced in the traditional artisan quality, which do not use insecticides on the vines. The hand-harvested grapes are fermented on the skins for 14 days, and the young wine is matured in barrique barrels that have been used several times.
Each individual winery bottling bears the unmistakable signature of the winemaker and reflects the uniqueness of the soils and climate.
The strong ruby colour, which ends in violet with a broad rim, unfolds a fine cherry aroma on the nose which ends on the palate with a light peppery-fresh spiciness that is stimulating to drink.
The Kerschbaum Zweigelt goes perfectly with light chicken dishes, pâtés and cheese of any kind.
