The production of fine gin requires raw materials of the highest quality. During distillation in perforated copper baskets, up to 12 different botanicals are suspended above the alcohol. The alcohol vapour rising to the top is thus enriched with all the different aromatic flavours that these herbs release.

The original recipe has been used in the production of gin since 1761.

Essential botanicals

From the pungency of Kubeben pepper from Java to the spice of grains of paradise from West Africa - all 12 precious botanicals are carefully selected to give the gin its very special flavour. In the unique distillation process, they combine in perfect harmony to give Bombay Sapphire its enticing, smooth and complex taste.
