Cloudy Bay Chardonnay

Cloudy Bay Chardonnay is a wine for connoisseurs and gastronomic explorers: refined, balanced and balanced. Carefully brewed according to traditional techniques, it is a true "food wine". The fruit of the vineyards on the rocky soils of the Wairau Valley combine with the dense clay soils of the southern valleys to produce a wine with ripe stone fruit and elegant citrus notes.

Winemaking

Grapes are harvested by hand and pressed whole, a traditional method to keep the wine fresh and crisp. The resulting juice is fermented in barrels, along with wild yeasts that provide complexity and texture. The wine ages for 11 months, with selective use of malolactic fermentation to provide balance.

Palate: A squeeze of ripe lemon refreshes an intense palate of yellow stone fruit, framed by a delicious salty acidity. Gentle toasty notes lend a savory backbone to the lush fruit and provide a pleasing balance.
