Products from Glenfiddich Distillery
The Glenfiddich Distillery was founded in 1886 by the Scottish farmer William Grant, who decided to build his own whisky distillery. With this goal in mind, Grant bought a small farm near Dufftown in Scotland and began building his distillery. Within a year, the Glenfiddich Distillery was completed and whisky production began.
In the early years, the distillery produced only limited quantities of whisky, mainly for the family and friends' own consumption. But the quality of Glenfiddich's whisky was so good that a reputation for excellent whisky from the distillery quickly spread.
In 1903, William Grant decided to hand over the distillery to his son, who successfully continued and expanded the business. In the 1950s, the Grant family recognised the growing importance of single malt whisky and launched the first bottling of Glenfiddich single malt whisky.
Glenfiddich Single Malt Whisky quickly became one of the best known and most popular whiskies in the world. Today Glenfiddich is sold in over 180 countries and is a symbol of Scotch whisky and tradition.
The Grant family still runs the Glenfiddich Distillery today and is proud that it is still family owned. The distillery has continued to develop over the years and today produces a wide range of whiskies, from single malts to special bottlings. All in all, Glenfiddich Distillery is one of the best known and most renowned whisky distilleries in the world and a symbol of quality and tradition. The passion and dedication that goes into every bottle of whisky make it a must for all whisky lovers.
